A man has been arrested after being accused of luring a young girl into having sex with him after chatting with her online.
Police handcuffed a 63-year-old man at Westmead, Sydney, after his plan to meet a young girl was uncovered on Thursday.
The man will face court today where the police will allege he engaged in a sexually-explicit conversation online with an undercover officer he believed was a 14-year-old girl.

The Child Abuse and Sex Crime Squad’s Child Exploitation Internet Unit believes the man from Sydney’s north-west had made arrangements to meet the child in person.
The man was first engaged by the detectives online in June as part of the ongoing investigation, Strike Force Trawler.
Detectives from Strike Force Trawler arrested him just after midday.

The man, who was dressed in a red shirt, a jacket and brown cargo pants, was taken to Parramatta Police Station and charged with using a carriage service to procure a person under 16 for sex.
After arresting him, police searched his house at Castle Hill and seized his computers and electronic storage devices.
He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Friday.
