Former US Senate candidate Roy Moore revealed he too had been duped into a meeting with Sacha Baron Cohen as part of the comedian’s Showtime series Who Is America?
The accused pedophile and vocal supporter of the Jewish community revealed in an email statement Thursday that Cohen invited him to accept an award earlier this year in Washington D.C ahead of the 70th anniversary of Israel’s establishment.
‘Because Alabama has always been at the forefront of support of Israel and because I share a strong belief in God as the creator and Sustainer of all life, as does Israel, I eventually accepted the invitation,’ Moore said in the statement.
The failed senator said all expenses were paid and that he did not receive remittance in return for his participation and time.

Former US Senate candidate Roy Moore (pictured in December in Alabama) said he was tricked into accepting an award by Sacha Baron Cohen as part of his Showtime series Who Is America?
Moore is seen during an election night party in Montgomery, Alabama in December. Moore said he would not hesitate to take legal action against Cohen in a Thursday statement: ‘I am involved in several court cases presently to defend my honor and character against vicious false political attacks by liberals like Cohen’

The former chief of justice’s statement on the matter is seen above
‘I did not know Sacha Cohen or that a Showtime TV series was being planned to embarrass, humiliate, and mock not only Israel, but also religious conservatives such as Sarah Palin, Joe Walsh and Dick Cheney,’ he added.
The former chief of justice further shamed Cohen – who he said mocked ‘not only Israel, but those who support Israel and the principles upon which America is based.’
Moore concluded in the statement that he wouldn’t hesitate to take legal action against Cohen and other directors of his show if the opportunity presents itself.
‘I am involved in several court cases presently to defend my honor and character against vicious false political attacks by liberals like Cohen.
‘If Showtime airs a defamatory attack on my character, I may very well be involved in another. As for Mr. Cohen, whose art is trickery, deception and dishonesty, Alabama does not respect cowards who exhibit such traits! It’s been a long time since I fought for my country in Vietnam. I’m ready to defend her again!’

Matt Drudge revealed that among the politicians the comedian has managed to dupe for Who is America? are Dick Cheney, Trent Lott, David Petraeus, Alberto Gonzales and Sarah Palin.
Palin, the former governor of Alaska, confirmed that she was tricked into flying to Washington DC for an interview with Cohen on Tuesday, writing a detailed post about her experience on Facebook.

And it is not just Republicans who have to worry – with Cohen also said to have conducted interviews with Howard Dean and Bernie Sanders.
‘Both Republicans and Democrats are getting caught up in the madness,’ wrote Drudge on Twitter.
Petraeus if a former general who served as director of the Central Intelligence Agency for a little over a year under President Obama before he was forced to resign over an extramarital affair.
Lott was formerly the Senate Minority Leader but stepped down in 2002 before resigning from his position in 2007 to become a lobbysist.
Cohen has made no comment about the show
Gonzales served as attorney general under President Geroge W. Bush and Cheney was vice president during that same administration.
The network teased Cohen’s new show with a promo that aired for the first time on Monday and showed part of his interview with Cheney.
In that preview he is seen autographing a platic gallon jug, which he hands back to Cohen before saying: ‘That’s the first time I’ve ever signed a waterboard.’
Palin revealed on Tuesday that she was duped into filming an interview with Cohen in Washington DC, completely unaware of the comedian’s intentions.
She claims that Cohen disguised himself as a wounded veteran for the sit-down, and that to cap things off the production team knowingly dropped her and her daughter off at the wrong airport, knowing they would not be able to get a flight back to Alaska.
A source tells DailyMail.com that this all happened in November, and Palin was with her teenage daughter Piper at the time, who is still in high school.
Palin is now demanding that Showtime, the network that will air the show starting later this month, and Cohen donate all proceeds to a veterans group.
‘This “legit opportunity” to honor American Vets and contribute to a “legit Showtime historical documentary” was requested of me via a speakers bureau,’ said Palin.
Cheney signs a gallon jug in the preview for the new series and then states: ‘That’s the first time I’ve ever signed a waterboard’
DailyMail.com has been told by a source that it was the American Programs Bureau that presented this opportunity to Palin, the same group who manages the likes of Larry King, Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs, Sir Richard Branson and Mikhail Gorbachev, to name a few.
‘For my interview, my daughter and I were asked to travel across the country where Cohen (I presume) had heavily disguised himself as a disabled US Veteran, fake wheelchair and all,’ explained Palin.
‘Out of respect for what I was led to believe would be a thoughtful discussion with someone who had served in uniform, I sat through a long “interview” full of Hollywoodism’s disrespect and sarcasm – but finally had enough and literally, physically removed my mic and walked out, much to Cohen’s chagrin.’
She went on to state: ‘The disrespect of our US military and middle-class Americans via Cohen’s foreign commentaries under the guise of interview questions was perverse.’
Then, after that, she and Piper were brought to the wrong airport.
‘After refusing to take our calls to help get us out of the bind they’d put us in for three days, I wrote this off as yet another example of the sick nature that is media-slash-entertainment today,’ said Palin of the experience.
She also informed Cohen that Piper thinks he is a ‘piece of s***.’
Palin then called on Cohen and Showtime to give back.
‘Here is my challenge, shallow Sacha boy: go ahead – air the footage. Experience tells us it will be heavily edited, not pretty, and intended to humiliate,’ said Palin.
‘The challenge is to Cohen, CBS and Showtime: donate all proceeds to a charitable group that actually respects and supports American Vets.
‘Mock politicians and innocent public personalities all you want, if that lets you sleep at night, but HOW DARE YOU mock those who have fought and served our country.’
DailyMail.com reached out to Showtime, with multiple spokespersons saying that the network had no comment.
