SEBASTIAN SHAKESPEARE: Fergie’s toe-sucking ex was blackmailed by a young woman in the Philippines

The Duchess of York’s friend John Bryan was famously photographed sucking her toes as she reclined topless by a pool in the South of France in 1992.

Now details have emerged of a blackmail case involving a young Filipino woman who threatened to publish nude pictures of him online.

Unsavoury aspects of the 63-year-old’s private life were made public during his protracted court battle to extract a £1.6 million settlement from his ex-wife, beautiful Belgian reality TV star Astrid Coppens, whom he divorced in 2013.

As I disclosed last year, Los Angeles Judge Michael J. Convey ruled against Bryan’s claim ‘in its entirety’, noting that, despite claims of hardship, his income was £13,500-a-month.

Nevertheless, financial adviser Bryan — who was previously declared bankrupt at London’s High Court in 1996 — launched an appeal.

That appeal has now been dismissed. ‘The appeal has been rejected by the Court of Appeal,’ Astrid’s attorney, Keith Fink, tells me.

And Fink draws attention to an affidavit in which Bryan recounted meeting a young Filipino woman, Ancy Dieto, online before he ‘physically met her’ in the Philippines. Bryan’s affidavit says he ‘supported Ancy with money to study business, to go to school, and to find business opportunities’.

But he stopped when she threatened to ‘post my nude pictures and videos online’. He alleges that when Ancy renewed her threats, he gave her $1,000, with which, she said, she was going to buy ‘a Sony VAIO X-series laptop’.

‘According to his papers — which he filed under the penalty of perjury — he’s broke,’ says Fink. ‘

‘The guy’s a bully. He’s nothing without her. He unfairly took shots at her. Astrid fought back and creamed him in court and exposed him.’

Astrid, who was just 22 when she married Bryan, says that the stress of the case made sleep almost impossible and caused her to start losing her hair.

But from Belgium, where she is on holiday with her second husband, director Bram Coppens, she tells me: ‘Everything’s going great.’

Bryan was unavailable for comment yesterday.

Actress Kate Beckinsale has let World Cup fever go to her head.

The 44-year-old daughter of the late Porridge actor Richard Beckinsale sported a giant cat costume and leopard-print trousers to celebrate England’s match against Sweden.

Kate, who lives in LA, wrote alongside this snap.

‘Got up early to see England beat Sweden, did yoga, partially transformed into own cat — world literally is oyster.’

The Pearl Harbor actress is very fond of felines.

She has a moggy called Clive who sleeps in a vintage leather Monarch suitcase that’s customised into a bespoke cat bed.

It’s not just Prince Charles who’s keen on doing his bit to save the environment.

The Queen is advertising for a £50,000-per-year energy and environment manager based at Buckingham Palace.

The advert on the royal website says the job is about ‘ensuring a sustainable future for world famous historic buildings’.

It adds: ‘The Royal Household is working hard across our locations and operations to reduce its impact on the environment, using everything from energy-efficient LED lighting to hydro-electricity generating plants to ensure efficient running of its sites.’

Leggy Lilly Becker shows Boris what he’s missing

Lilly Becker, who separated from her husband ex-Wimbledon champion Boris Becker in May, has no intention of disappearing from the limelight.

The 42-year-old (pictured below) arrived at a private Mayfair club on Tuesday night in a low-cut £1,200 gold silk gown that was slashed to her thigh, leaving poor Lilly holding the dress together with her hand to protect her modesty.

In comparison to Lilly, Kate Moss’s half-sister Lottie Moss, 20, looked positively demure sporting a red leather Valentino frock and newly lightened hair (pictured below).

Inside the club, the Duke of Rutland’s fashionista daughters Lady Eliza, 20, Lady Alice, 23, and Lady Violet Manners, 24 — who were once dubbed the ‘Bad Manners’ sisters for their raucous antics — were so subdued they could barely lift themselves off the sofa.

Must be the heat.

Why marriage with a Mop Top was far from fab

Who’d be married to a Beatle? Ex Mrs George Harrison, Pattie Boyd, recalls how jealous female fans used to physically assault her at the height of Beatlemania.

‘It was absolutely terrifying,’ she recalls. ‘I got to see the Beatles play at a theatre in London, and George told me that I should leave with my friends before the last number.

‘So before the last song, we got up from our seats and walked toward the nearest exit door, and there were these girls behind me.

‘They followed us out, and they were kicking me and pulling my hair and pushing us all the way down this long passageway.’

Shane Allen, the BBC comedy boss who annoyed John Cleese by saying that Monty Python’s ‘white, Oxbridge’ males were out of step with modern TV, charged the licence-fee payer £1,000 for a flight to Los Angeles, the broadcaster’s latest expenses show.

Hollywood seems an odd location to find the ‘diverse’ new British talent Allen boasts about bringing to screens.

Under fire from some Eurosceptics over her Brexit blueprint, Theresa May should be more like the Iron Lady, says Maggie’s Chancellor Nigel Lawson.

‘A bad deal is worse than no deal,’ Lord Lawson says on board the Queen Mary 2, where he gave a talk.

He wishes the PM were more like ‘the leader I worked with for ten years — Margaret Thatcher’.

He adds: ‘Mrs May is an honest woman, but a leader of very limited ability.’

Faint praise…
