And Hollywood icon Samuel L. Jackson, 69, has revealed he would be an attorney in real life, if he wasn’t an actor.

The Academy award nominee was speaking on Thursday’s episode of The project, when he shared the surprising fun fact.

The Incredibles 2 star replied: ‘I reckon I could lie as good as most lawyers.’

‘I could be a good lawyer, yeah, I’d be a lawyer.’

While he has countless blockbusters under his belt, Samuel’s rise to fame wasn’t a seamless feat.

The star made his film debut in 1972’s Together For Days, but his name didn’t rally recognition until 1994 for his role in hit flick Pulp Fiction – his 30th movie.

In an interview with Vogue in May, Samuel revealed Die Hard With A Vengeance co-star Bruce Willis told him that his role in the 1995 movie would propel him to stardom

‘Bruce said ‘Die Hard’s going to make you a star. Die Hard will change your life’ and it’s true, Die Hard was the highest-grossing film in the world that year. That changed the agenda,’ he said.

With a history of personal struggles, Samuel also told the publication that finding success in his late 40’s was the best thing that could have happened to him.

‘I was sober when it happened so that helped a lot. If it had happened sooner in my life, I would have found a way to mess it up,’ he candidly shared. 

He added: ‘Being sober and understanding who I was was a result of me being more mature – but I always attribute it to my sobriety and not listening to everything people say when they tell you how great you are.’
